Gowri Kamakshi has earmarked many of her personal wealth for philanthropic activities helping social changes and uplifting the poor. Some of her Not- For- Profit activities are: – Over past 10 years she has conducted marriage of 250 impoverished couples, providing all the requisite Clothing, Gold Jewellery, feast and other arrangements for the marriage for free especially among Lingayat, Brahmin community.

– She has set up Gaushala which aims at uplifting animal rights by protecting/ rescuing cows from slaughter houses considering cow as a sacred and sign of prosperity and happiness.

– She is working for the social cause of displaced aged citizens provides financial aid to develop senior citizen homes. Her aim is to serve elder needs in a holistic manner, enabling them to live active, dignified and healthier lives.

– She often reminds others that compassion to the poor and the needy is our duty to God. Her words inspire the health team at SUT medical college, who regularly organizes medical camps in rural and tribal areas under her supervision and supplies free medicines to the villagers. She has sponsored free hysterectomy, hernia, thyroid and varicose vein surgeries for the underprivileged people for the last 5 years in her hospital.
